About Tom McNaull

Mr. Thomas McNaull leverages over 30-years of experience as a senior executive in healthcare management toward his current role as the Chairman and CEO of MedStar Partners, LLC. The company, which Thomas McNaull was a founder of in 2007, specializes in the acquisition and turnaround of acute care hospitals experiencing financial or operational management problems. Thomas McNaull established MedStar Partners after a highly successful tenure as the President and CEO of AMT Group, Inc., or American MedTrust. In this role, Thomas McNaull directed the revitalization of a number of struggling hospitals throughout the country, growing his firm’s revenues in excess of $100M.
Before venturing into healthcare consulting, Thomas McNaull worked for two of the largest private healthcare management organizations in the United States, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and Charter Medical Corporations (CMC). During his time with HCA, Thomas McNaull held a variety of important positions, including the role of Chief Financial Officer for Rockdale Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and Coral Reef Hospital in Miami, Florida. After five years at HCA, Thomas McNaull joined CMC, where he served as CFO at multiple hospitals before accepting the dual role of Vice President of the Hospital Division and President of Information Systems for the entire company. In his position, Thomas McNaull was responsible for financial operations totaling more than $1.5B in annual revenue across 100 company-owned hospitals.
Thomas McNaull maintains involvement in the healthcare industry through membership in the Federation of American Hospitals and the American Hospital Association. Previously, Thomas McNaull served as a member of the Florida League of Hospitals Board of Directors. A graduate of numerous professional development courses from the Harvard Business School, Thomas McNaull is also active in the HBS Healthcare Industry Alumni Association. Thomas McNaull received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and his MBA from Emory University.
